1) Goat Farming

3) Fish Farming
Fish have provided an important part of people’s diets for centuries. From last hundred years, fish catches have increased rapidly due to technological improvements including more powerful engines and sonar equipment. 6) Duck Farming
The growing commercial market for duck meat is linked with the increasing population. Duck meat generally commands a good price, well above the prices received for chicken. The meat is marketed as fresh, frozen and chilled products, either whole or in parts. From commercial point of view, ducks have a longer profitable life. They lay well even in second year. Also, Ducks do not require any elaborate houses like chicken.
7) Mushroom Farming
Mushroom cultivation can directly improve livelihoods through economic, medicinal and nutritional contributions. However, it is essential to note that some mushrooms are poisonous and may even be lethal. Mushroom cultivation activities can play an important role in supporting the local economy by contributing to subsistence food security, nutrition and medicine.
8) Cashew Processing
Traditionally the various processing operations were performed manually by experienced semi-skilled workers. The processes that have been mechanized are roasting, cashew nut shell liquid extraction and shelling. For the most part, the cleaning of raw materials and sizing and kernel grading have remained labour intensive manual operations.
9) Bee Keeping & Honey Production
Bees pollinate crops and thus help increase yields. High demand for honey exists in local, regional and international markets. Propolis, collected from plants by bees to cover the inside of the hive, treats a broad range of ailments. Pollen, collected from plants by bees to feed their larvae, is used in the perfume industry, and is a food additive and a medicine. Beekeeping requires low start-up costs and
occupies negligible land space.

This implies that rural marketing consists of marketing of inputs(production and services) to the rural market as well as the marketing of outputs from the rural markets to other geographical area.
11) Vegetable Farming
Vegetable production needs only a small area of land, with minimal capital outlay and can provide access to a valuable food under subsistence conditions. But also has the potential to provide an initial step towards establishing an income base for poorer households. Vegetables form a large and diverse commodity group, although they do not have botanical features in common, they generally share similarities in cultivation methods.
